- Trial and ADR Experience – Lead and co-counsel representing the Air Force before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals (ASBCA) in many high-visibility, multi-million dollar Air Force contract disputes. Responsible for preparation and presentation of the Air Force position in Alternate Dispute Resolution proceedings and trials. Also responsible for developing the theory of the case, determining what evidence and arguments will be advanced, conducting research of statutes, legal opinions, regulations and case law precedents. Also responsible for all pleadings, motions, briefs and position papers. Responsible for conducting and responding to discovery and participating in pre-hearing conferences, negotiating, drafting and recommending settlement agreements where appropriate. Responsible for preparing and examining fact and expert witnesses, presenting testimonial and documentary evidence and arguments to the fact-finding tribunal, and performing all other representational functions required for the defense or prosecution of the case before the ASBCA. Team leader providing general supervision and mentoring of several JAG officers, including the review of their work products.

Tedd is a government contracts and construction attorney for Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP in Dayton, Ohio. Tedd began private practice in the November of 2007. For over 20 years, Tedd had worked for the Air Force Office of Contract Dispute Resolution (a.k.a., the contract trial team) to address questions or problems with public contract performance, administration, payment, and dispute resolution. He has represented the Air Force against prime contractors such as Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Raytheon, L-3, Lear-Siegler, Northrop-Grumman. Litton, GTE Federal Systems, Aerojet General, in addition to many large construction, manufacturing and service government contractors, and subcontractors. His experience focuses on analysis of contract problems and their resolution through meetings and presentations with the principals, persuasion, requests for equitable adjustment, Alternate Disputes Resolutions as well as full-blown litigation before boards of contract appeals, if necessary and appropriate.
Completing advanced training in multi-media, Tedd maximizes the use of modern information technology as a force multiplier, training all those involved in the process. Tedd’s clients are often spread across the country in remote locations. Tedd leverages the power of technology to minimize costs and maximize results.
Tedd practices with Taft, Stettinius & Hollister, in Dayton, Ohio.
When Tedd is not in the office, he enjoys time with his wife Lisa and two teenagers. Tedd is an avid guitar player and marginal golfer. He has also been the Golf Coach for Holy Angels and Chaminade-Julienne High School (JV). A health enthusiast, Tedd loves to rollerblade, mountain bike and explore.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Millersville University and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1998. In 2003, Tedd completed 52 semester hours of multi-media technical training from ITT Technical Institute.
